This has increased the rate of stress and caused damage to the health and relationships of working professionals. Work-life Balance is simply a state of evenness between your work and personal activities. A work-life balance means you can put in much time on other things unrelated to work the same way you put much effort into your work or when you find a job. This includes spending time on your interests, with family, and with friends.

1. Create a workable system 
A workable system is practical and realistic. With this, you will hardly get overwhelmed from numerous tasks and burnout from working overtime. To create a workable system is to create something that works for you with the job opportunity you have. You can study various important things about yourself like sleep patterns, eating patterns, and work patterns. This will help you know how to fix your schedule and add the necessary breaks in between. 

2. Prioritize important tasks
Focusing on tasks that would give you more results will help declutter your mind and free your work schedule. According to the Pareto Principle, “80% of the results you get is based on 20% of what you do.” You need to focus your energy on doing only the tasks that give you the most results. With that, you will not have to do less important tasks, which will give you, time to do other things relating to your life that don't involve work. 

3. Avoid perfectionism
It is hardly possible to make every work or task you do turn out perfect. When you find a job and you try making everything perfect, you spend more time on work than usual and this strains you mentally. It also prevents you from having time to participate in other activities. Instead of focusing your energy on making your work perfect, it is better to focus on making it more impactful. You do not have to do every task or work by yourself. Doing this can reduce your productivity and make you burn out. Focus on your strengths instead and delegate work you do not enjoy to either your team members or colleagues who enjoy doing that particular work. Be open to asking for help when you have a hard time working on a project. This will save you from wasting time on a particular task when someone else can be of help to you. 
5. Take a break 

"All work and no play makes jack a dull boy." This implies that you should take breaks when needed, either long or short breaks. This will help declutter your mind and replenish your strength. You also get to spend time with family and friends. It will also give you time to re-strategize your plans like finding a new job opportunity that favors you and reviewing your priorities.

To create a work-life balance, you need to learn to set boundaries with colleagues, families, and friends. Set boundaries by saying "no" to things that often affect your later outputs. The "yes" you tell a colleague may rub off the time you should have spent with your family or friends. 

To avoid regretting the decisions you make, say "no" to tasks that seem like a hard pill to swallow or make you uncomfortable.

To ensure you have personal time, add it to your calendar and schedules.  This would make it easier for you to be conscious and intentional about it. 8. Take care of your health

Learn to prioritize your health while working to avoid burnout or disease. You can start by cultivating daily habits of meditation or exercise. This will help renew your mind and increase your concentration level. It is also important to have a healthy diet and enough sleep for a better work-life balance.

Contemplating whether to take a particular action or step related to your task can put a strain on your mind. This might make you fixated on making your work perfect and not using the resources available for you. The better option is to start with what you have to get what you want. Instead of focusing on how to get the best resources and tools, starting with what you have in your present job opportunity can give you more results and save you more time. This in turn helps improve your work-life balance. 

10. Disconnect from social media.

Working constantly may be harmful to one's personal life and well-being. Disconnecting from social media can be hard to implement but it can help to reset your mind and body for the better. When you are away from your phone, you tend to find more meaning in the other physical things of life. This help to refresh and relax your body. It also helps to reduce stress and lets you enjoy your own company.
